I'm sorry my fellow friends and watchers that I've kind of disappeared from dA (again). My offline life was getting pretty hectic and honestly, rather disastrous in some areas.
Many of you are not aware of why though I've taken a leave of absence. Lately, with all the stalking, harassment and just plain ol' explosions, I've needed a break to catch up to me.
Last week we faced uncertain circumstances of if we'd be losing our place or not. No, no, we aren't behind on our rent or things like that. We actually had an explosion one house down from us. Well, not like a huge, major news worthy explosion. Our neighbor's garage caught fire and considering we live less than 100 ft from the garage, we were concerned if the fire would spread and we'd have to scramble from our homes in fear for our lives.
Luckily, only the garage burned down. It wasn't an electrical fire but there were some police and fire department saying it looked like arson. I wound up having to give a statement because whoever was near that area when it happened tried to hot wire and steal our car before the first explosion went off.
Between the fire/explosion and the place next to ours getting broken into the night before the fire, it's been pretty hectic here. I haven't really had a chance to sit down and catch my breath as to what's all gone on.
I'm also in the middle of gearing up for vendor shows for Sweet Cheeks and to be able to finally get my business in full swing. It's going kind of slow with all this happening.
I started Napowrimo last month but with the craziness in our lives, I kind of forgot about it and let it drift to the very back burner. I actually kind of miss writing but, I've hit a slump and rather feel like not picking up a pen for awhile longer. Maybe something better will be brought about by this hiatus from writing.
